"OBITUARY" For Common Sense

An obituary for Common Sense
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense,
who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was,since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
Why the early bird gets the worm;
Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spendmore than you can earn)
and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boycharged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate;
teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch;
and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student,
only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that
they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student;
but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live, as the churches became businesses;
and
criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a=2 0 beating when you couldn't defend yourself from aburglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap,
and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife,
Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

To Todd

To a Son who took such care of his child, we are blessed to have you in our life !!

Todd & his baby girl Home at last !!

Never has a man stood so tall....till he bends down to help a child !!

That's our Son-In-Law ... Todd

No such thing...as ..A "surprise",

From this God that we serve!

He loves and kept our Little girl

As He watched over each and every bird.

His supply, is so sufficient

His power is so vast

His love is everlasting

In due season, sure came fast!

Our child is still healing

Each day brings brand new signs

He builds upon her body

Precept upon precept every word and every line

Spiritually in the heavens

all things concerning her

Are tied up together

in a God we love so much

Never can we wander

Or stray to far away

From the spirit and our daily prayers

That brought us to this day

To see a smile on lizzy's face

And excitement in our Todd

Has proven each and every step

That our saviour walked that sod

Each word of red encouraged

Each letter brought us life

Each Psalm and every verse we read

Has taken away all our strife!

The God behind the written word

Has proved to be tryed and true

How can anyone who reads it"Refuse to be made new!"

I cry as I write this note

In considering " The wonderous Lord "

Help us all to serve him

With grace and devotional love

My family is so precious

Loving in every way

Showing forth their faith in God

As heartache came that day

The doc's said, "there's not much hope"

We'll do all we can

But Jesus hearing every word

Brought forth a miracle, once again

There were moments of great cofusion

Fear and unbelief held a grip

But with every passing Hr.

Our spirit would start to lift

Family, as God's messengers

would come and and also call

With words that spoke great comfort

As the Dr's labored and toiled

So many hrs later, hope replaced dispair

To reveal to all of us,

Our child was in GREAT care.

Any moment we have with her

Is a gift from God above

I cherish every day we have

With OUR "Addie" whom we love

God's Answer To Prayer

Here I am....having fun with Mooie. She wants to snuggle in my bed..Well maybe just for awhile !! I made her walk me all over the hospital. I ate half a ice cream sandwich, had a lollipop, then I ate Mooies hotdog.
Well, maybe not all of it..but I did have half.

I thought I would watch Mary Poppins with Mooie...but I think I have fallin asleep. Yep..I'm sure I have.

We played patty cake.............we counted to ten ..and then played Simon Say's. I did every thing Mooie told me to do, I touched my nose, my ears, my head (with both arms up)
peek a boo..Mooie is so excited..
She thinks I am brilliant...(I Am)

Well, tomorrow is another day..I think it will be sat. I will probably see Aunt Carol, she just loves me so!

I bet they will have me up and walking tomorrow.They are amazed with my progress..
Jesus & I have been keeping alot of secrets from my mommy & daddy. We have a whole bunch of surprises for them.
Mooie talks to me alot about Jesus. She know what God is doing, cause she said..God has revealed it to her. Soo..we will let God do his work in me..and Jesus will show everyone how all their prayers were heard. I am very happy.( Thank you, Oma..I love that shirt, cause I really am getting very happy.)
Well, Mooie has to go to her bed now.so I can rest.

Love you all lots Ashlyn Elizabeth Finn
