Dear God, there's an ache in our hearts

A family in pain
What can we do

We can"t change this, God
It's all up to you

You tell us dear Lord
To make our requests

"be known "
But all us in the family
are feeling alone

Alone in our confusion
and deep in despair
Wishing we could show them
How much we do care

It's hard to hold on!!!
Oh! God show them how
Don't let it be later
Please, Let it be now

There's feelings of nausea
for our blessed child
Just imagining her struggle
Is making us wild

How can our child
Be a victim of error
This is crazy..Our Lord
This time we feel terror

I am soo angry, OH Jesus,
I'm unabe to make...
any sense of this situation
that recently took place

Our hearts are so burdened
We're weeping inside
We're soo far away from
Our children's side

I repent for my feelings
And ask you to sustain

Dear Liz Todd and Ashlyn

I pray in your name.

The Price of Children

This is just too good not to pass on to all.
Here is something absolutely positive for a change.
I have repeatedly seen the breakdown of the cost of raising a child,
but this is the first time I have seen the rewards listed this way.

It's nice.

The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with $160,140.00 for a middle income family.
Talk about price shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition.

But $160,140.00 isn't so bad if you break it down.

It translates into:
* $8,896.66 a year, * $741.38 a month, * $171.08 a week. * A mere $24.24 a day!

* Just over a dollar an hour.

Still, you might think the best financial advice is; don't have children if you want to be 'rich.' Actually, it is just the opposite.

What do you get for your $160,140.00?

* Naming rights. First, middle, and last!
* Glimpses of God every day. * Giggles under the covers every night. * More love than your heart can hold. * Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs. * Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies. * A hand to hold usually covered with jelly or chocolate. * A partner for blowing bubbles and flying kites. * Someone to laugh yourself silly with, no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day.

For $160,140.00, you never have to grow up. You get to:

* finger-paint, * carve pumpkins, * play hide-and-seek,
* catch lightning bugs, * never stop believing in Santa Claus. You have an excuse to: * keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh, * watch Saturday morning cartoons, * go to Disney movies, and * wish on stars.
You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect spray painted noodlewreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day.

For a mere $24.24 a day,
there is no greater bang for your buck.

You get to be a hero just for: * retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof, * taking the training wheels off a bike, * removing a splinter, * filling a wading pool, * coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and *coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless.
You get a front row seat in history to witness the:

* First step, * First word, * First bra, * First date, * First time behind the wheel. You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great grandchildren. You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match.
In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits, so one day they will, like you, love without counting the cost. That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!!

Love & enjoy your children & grandchildren & great-grandchildren!!!!!!
It's the best investment you'll ever make!!!!!!!!!

Poem From My Heart

There is Our God, (He's yours and he's mine)

Who has never overlooked one moment in time

From beginning till the end

He has always remained

To comfort and reveal

the power of his name

There has never been, one so great

So strong and so powerful

who understands " Journey to fate !"

His promises have been tested...

Given to us, one at a time

How then could we know him

This SON.. so devine

We are to taste and see the goodness of God

And to recognize his fragrance

in each step that we trod

Why then is life such a difficult thing

When a saviour abides in our soul "mastering?"

Somehow we know that in death it brings life

But, our children..Oh God, should not have this fight !!

Help the family to know

The direction to go

Insight from above

From "The Saviour They Love !!

"Impart greater faith, than they have ever known

directly from your "majestic" throne

Through the years they have feed on your word

and have heard all the best messages...

But now being put to a test,

We can only rely on your "sacred passages"

There is None other, such as you!!

Our Jesus our saviour,

The only one of truth

Please give Ashlyn, our girl

a future and a hope

And a calling on her life

With Liz and Todd both

I Bless Your Holy Name JESUS

Our Liz N' Todd

We have a sweet dear grandchild

Her name is Ashlyn Finn
If you met our baby girl
You would kiss her again and again
Leaving her in a hospital

Could never had been imagined

Only keeping her over nite

"Was definitely on my "horizon"

She's a sweet little girl
we always called a "card"

Cuter than you could

ever imagine-

Little Addie, Praise you God !

Now, after many weeks

and times of great despair

We see a miracle coming

restoration is presently there

She smiles and sees

those she loves so much

And gives us recognition

in her smile and in her touch

We thank God for her parents

That have laboured and have strived

To bring about this healing

In a child that is their pride

So I personally want to thank them

For giving us such bliss

In a little girl named "Addie"

Who has been our blessed gift..

God, has been so faithful

In imparting his spirit once again

Todd and Liz

"Our precious children"

Mommy and Daddy" to all the rest of them

I have often wondered

what the future would have been

If our children turned away from God

And never recieved him in the end.

I thank God, for his salvation

and the love that "Beau and I know"

And a chance to see our children walk

In a life , we had hoped to show!

A born again experience

Has made their faith so strong

A life sacrificed to a Saviour

Can never be counted as wrong

As parents you just never know

If they will ever walk with Jesus

But to see it now , I have to say

is more than just so precious

The word of God

The spirit renewed

The pastors, the church

And the kneeling at pews

All have brought forth a faith so secure

To allow them to

Relinquish......Little Addie

To a God they "adore !"

Dedicated to my Husband

After All These Years

(dedicated to my husband Beau Hussey)

A faded wedding photograph
You and me in our first dance
Our eyes are closed
We're lost in one sweet embrace
Since those days the world has changed
But our love remains the same
God knows we've had our share of saving grace

And I'm proud of all the blessings
You have given me
The mountains we have climbed to get this far
You've learned to take the laughter with the tears
After all these years

You make it feel brand new
After the fires that we walked through
Against the odds we never lost our faith

In our house we've made our home
Where our children all have grown
Precious moments time cannot erase

Make a living up and down the gypsy highways
Seasons that we've had to share apart
Somehow in my heart I always keep you near me
After all these years

After all these years
You stood by me
The days and nights that I was gone
After all these years
You sacrificed, believed in me
And you stood strong
Cause with our love there's nothing left to fear
After all these years

After all these years
You stood by me
The days and nights that I was gone
After all these years
You've sacrificed, believed in me
And you stood strong
Cause with our love there's nothing left to fear
After all these years

Waiting on God

I once read a book called 'God's Waiting Room"

Our children are definitely experiencing this first hand.
This has got to be the most stressful part of their day.
Waiting..for a Dr's report, for a word of encouragement.

For new signs of healing ..yes ....waiting is hard.

The bible tells us to wait upon the Lord
He will renew our strenghth,
We will mount up with wings as eagles
We will run and not be weary
We will walk and not faint

He will teach us to wait...teach us Lord..
Help us to do this with the same grace
Liz and Todd have.
Bless them Father Amen
